Summer is always my busiest time of year, filled with fabulous weddings that go on long into the night with those extra hours of daylight (and warmth, if we’re lucky!) that always keeps everyone going; and that can only mean one thing – my brides need gorgeous hair and makeup that won’t budge.
If you’re a bride-to-be, the best hair and makeup inspiration you can get is that of real brides, so that’s why I like to do regular updates featuring the lovely ladies I have very recently had the pleasure of working with on my blog page, throughout the year.
Photo-shoots are fabulous of course, but as it is a photographer’s job to make everyone look their absolute best (sometimes with a little extra tweaking on the edit) and a model’s job to look gorgeous, it can be difficult to get a true representation of what a bridal hair and makeup artist really has to offer. I love sharing my real brides with you (no fancy photo shoots on these blogs, these are all just quick snaps taken by me on my I-pad!), as it allows you all to see how truly stunning my real brides are as they prepare themselves to walk down the aisle into newly wedded bliss!
Here is just a small selection of my beautiful real brides and some of their gorgeous bridesmaids and mothers of the brides too, over the last few months:
Maneshka got married only last Saturday at an incredible venue in Weybridge. I adore her lovely tea dress wedding gown!
I met Maneshka earlier in the year for her trial day, as I do with all of my brides, and we decided up a simple but elegant half up half down hairstyle with fresh makeup and light smoky eyes.
Maneshka’s bridesmaids all stood by her side looking beautiful in blue, all wearing matching tumbling over the shoulder Grecian hairstyles – one of my favourites!
Lucy tied the knot in Berkhampstead, with her handsome prince arriving in style in a helicopter fly-by! What an incredible entrance that was!
She looked amazing in her long fishtail wedding dress with floor length veil which I fixed into her loose curls with braided vine detailing.
Her bridesmaids all went for individual updos – braids, buns and chignons all round with flawless makeup.
Lucy’s mum also looked absolutely incredible – have you ever seen such a glamourous mother of the bride?!
Stephanie was a real classic beauty at her wedding in Syon Park, with a retro inspired silk wedding dress and a sleek Audrey Hepburn style to match.
Chic, sophisticated and totally timeless!
I loved creating Inga’s summery look for her glorious July wedding!
That pop of pink of her cheeks brought out a gorgeous fresh and youthful appearance and the over the shoulder curls worked beautifully too.
